If you are a boy between the ages of 11 and 17, have completed the fifth grade, or have earned your Arrow of Light as a Cub Scout, you are welcomed to join Troop 30—or any Boy Scout Troop! Regular Troop 30 meetings are on Thursday at 7pm in the downstairs meeting hall of Christ the King Catholic Church, 85th & Wornall. Any boys interested in joining can come to a meeting accompanied by a parent or legal guardian and sign up!

On July 13, 2002, Bob Owens passed on to his reward. Bob was a Scoutmaster for Troop 30 in its formative days, and had been a longtime committee member, most recently serving as Chartering Organization Representative (COR). Known by the tribal name “Singing Razor,” Bob was a Sagamore in the Tribe of Mic-O-Say and a Trailblazer Chief. Bob served as coordinator on the Catholic Committee for Scouting, and was the recipient of the Bronze Pelican Award.
Memorial contributions should be made to Boy Scout Troop 30/Scouting Patrons of Christ the King, in care of Christ the King Church, 8501 Wornall Rd., KCMO 64114.
“His work is done.”On October 6, 2002, Whitey Koogler (Cheiftain Mad Drums) passed on to his reward while in the company of his family and some fellow Scouters. A life-long scout, Whitey became an Eagle Scout in 1943, served on the H. Roe Bartle Camp staff for over 50 years, was a Scout Master in Troop #30, was a Vigil member of the Order of the Arrow, and was a Chieftain in the Tribe of Mic-O-Say and Trailblazers.
