Any Scouting or Troop Activity
- Mic-O-Say claws, claw and medicine pouch, or Foxmans stick with meditation bead.
- Trailblazer campfire lanyard.
- Order of the Arrow arrowhead lanyard.
Class C Summer Uniform
- Scouting T-shirt or sweatshirt
- Short Uniform Pants (alternate: Long Uniform Pants)
- Uniform Socks
- Uniform belt with coup collection (alternate: Belt and Scouting buckle)
- Scout Handbook
Class A Full Uniform
Same as Class C, with the following modifications:
- Scout Uniform Shirt with appropriate and correct insignia instead of
Scouting t-shirt.
- Neckerchief with Slide
- Long Uniform Pants are preferred, but Short Uniform Pants are acceptable.
- Troop 30 option: Eagle Trailblazers may substitute civillian slacks, dress shirt and tie
for official uniform.
Formal Dress Uniform
Same as Class A, with the following modifications:
- Uniform Belt only with optional coup hanger
- Long Uniform Pants only
- Merit Badge Sash
- Award Ribbons on Uniform Shirt
Scout Uniform Shirt Guidelines
- Uniform shirt may be short or long-sleeved
- Unless otherwise directed, red epaulet loops on the shoulders.
- On the left sleeve (in order), starting at the shoulder seam:
- Heart of America Council Patch
- Troop Numerals: 3 0
- Leadership Office Patch
- On the right sleeve, starting at the shoulder seam:
- American Flag
- Patrol Patch (for patrol members) or District Patch
- On the left pocket, centered: Badge of Rank
- Above the left pocket flap: Award Knots, Service Stars and Attendance Bars
- Below the left pocket, starting at the pocket seam: Arrow of Light patch (if
applicable).
- On the right pocket, centered: temporary activity patch (e.g.: Catholic Scout Retreat
participant)
- Above the right pocket flap, from bottom to top: BSA Strip, name tag
- On the right front pocket flap: Order of the Arrow Lodge patch
Additional Shirt Guidelines
- One anniversary bar may be worn on the left sleeve between the Council patch and Troop
Numerals
- Brownsea strips should not be worn after completing the course, contrary to
general practice.
- Refer to the current Scout Manual for additional uniform requirements and options.
